What surfaces it works on

The Touch-Up Varnish Kit (Matte or Glossy) is suitable for evening out, sealing, and protecting wooden surfaces after minor corrections or wear.

It works by restoring the original finish of the piece, maintaining visual fidelity and protecting the treated area.

Works on:

  1. Natural wood furniture
  2. MDF and MDP with matte or glossy finish
  3. Wood panels and coverings
  4. Wooden doors and frames
  5. Surfaces that have been corrected with a pen or crayon

The PINTA RISCO Chalk Kit contains 24 colors, based on the most popular MDFs on the market.

Correcting the scratch is only part of the job. What defines whether the repair will be discreet or evident is the final finish.

That's why the Pinta Risco Varnish Kit (Matte or Glossy) was developed to uniformize, protect and seal the corrected area, restoring the furniture's original appearance.

No artificial shine.
No texture difference.
No "repair look".

What is varnish for?

After using the pen or corrective chalk, the varnish is used to:

✔ Seal the correction
✔ Uniformize the finish
✔ Protect against wear and friction
✔ Increase the durability of the repair

It's the final step that transforms a simple correction into a truly professional result.

Matte or Glossy? Find out which to choose

Here's the most important point: There's no better or worse. There's the right finish for each surface.

Matte Varnish

Choose matte if the original furniture or surface has:

  • Natural or satin appearance
  • Little to no light reflection
  • Discreet and uniform finish

Very common in:

  • Modern furniture
  • MDF and MDP
  • Laminate flooring
  • Environments with a cleaner aesthetic

The matte finish further disguises the correction, maintaining the original look.

Glossy Varnish

Choose glossy if the original finish is:

  • More polished
  • With visible reflection
  • With a "varnished" appearance

Very common in:

  • Lacquered wood
  • Classic furniture
  • Doors and surfaces with obvious shine

The glossy finish restores the reflection and depth of the finish.

Simple tip to avoid mistakes

Look at the furniture from the side, against the light:

  • Does it reflect light? Glossy
  • Doesn't reflect? Matte

It's that simple.
